About the Book

I’ve always loved to cook.

And eat. And talk and laugh, and eat some more. This was very much a part of my upbringing on the Italian side of my family, which has roots in both Sicily and Bari. I learned to cook from my Nana (Louella Sanfilippo) and her sisters, and this book was inspired by them and the Dalesandro side of the family as well. This 240-page book has been 20 years in the making, and I am proud to have (finally)! completed it. Each chapter is a full menu: either a simple meal or a full celebration. Learn how to make savory and tender meatballs, delectable cannoli cake with whipped cream frosting and homemade potato gnocchi with herbs. Check out the link below. Mangia, mangia!
